Steve Alexsy primarily represents creditors in commercial loan workouts, commercial real estate foreclosures, bankruptcy cases and commercial litigation. Before starting Alexsy Law Group in 2009, Steve was in-house corporate counsel and First Vice President of Bank One, NA, n/k/a JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. He was previously of counsel to the Southfield, Michigan law firm of Seyburn, Kahn, Ginn, Bess and Serlin, P.C. and a partner in the Oakland County, Michigan law firm of May, Simpson & Strote. Steve has practiced in the area of business law for 29 years following his 1981 admission to the State Bar of Michigan and is admitted to practice in the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the state and federal courts in Ohio and Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Steve has been named one of the Michigan Super Lawyers for the past three years. Steve is a 1981 cum laude graduate of the University of Detroit Law School. Steve is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Federal Bar Association and the Toledo Bar Association.
